| TIMBUK2 Underground by Great design but semi-crappy craftmanship |
| I got my backpack at REI. Thank goodness they have a great return policy because Timbuk2 does not provide warranty on their straps. I've only had it a couple of months and one of the straps is already coming off. I figure they know their craftsmanship is shoddy because on their tags, they recommend to take it your local dry cleaner if the straps come off! I like how much it holds and the features it has, but if you plan to carry a lot of books with your backpack as a law student or other heavy book use, I don't recommend it. |

It is a lovely backpack, and has plenty of room. I really like the side pocket set up, and am amazed at the amount of stuff that I can fit in there.
Just a bit of feedback though...the side pockets are a major hazard for those who have long hair (especially if you wear it braided). The zipper must be in the top position to keep the pockets closed. With the zippers up top, the tabs catch my hair on a regular basis. I have even managed to get so completely hooked up that I had to have a class mate "save me."
The straps are set a little wide for my small frame. I traded this pack to my dad, who absolutely loves it. |
