| Schwinn Air Driver 700 4 in 1 Mini Pump by Pacific Cycle, Inc (Accessories) Depends on what you want it for | Overall it is a good product.
I like the needle attached to it for inflating balls.
However if you want to inflate your bike's tires you are waaaay
better off with a foot or floor pump even if they are a bit more expensive.
It is difficult to properly inflate tires with this one. You can do it, but it requires some power, and also it gets harder and harder as the tire inflates. It's not the issue of this product in particular but rather with all pumps like this.
However, it is small. So it's the only choice if you want a pump in your backpack. | | Schwinn Air Driver 700 4 in 1 Mini Pump by Pacific Cycle, Inc (Accessories) The Schwinn Air Driver Pump and My Summer Vacation | | I was at the local Target, and my girlfriend was looking for a pump to inflate basketballs, footballs, rafts etc. at the house. She saw the Schwinn Air Driver, and I could see a gleam in her eyes. She picked up the pump, and dropped it in the cart. Now the packaging says "air driver" - but what elements do you really get from air? Well, there's Nitrogen, that's a big one. Nitrogen makes up about 78% of the atmosphere, and then there is Oxygen. Oxygen is 21%. So that's 99%, what other elements do you get from good old air? Well Argon is about .90 percent, Carbon Dioxide is .03 percent, and then you receive trace elements as well, such as Water Vapor, Hydrogen, Ozone, Carbon Monoxide, Helium, Neon, Krypton, and Xenon. So you don't just get a pump that is difficult to operate and impossible to understand, you also get a large assortment of trace elements pumped into whatever needs inflating. | | Schwinn Air Driver 700 4 in 1 Mini Pump by Pacific Cycle, Inc (Accessories) Not great for bicycles | | May be for footballs. Not great for bicycle pumping. Too small and that is why takes too much effort to pump even a small amount. | | Schwinn Air Driver 700 4 in 1 Mini Pump by Pacific Cycle, Inc (Accessories) Save your money | | I purchased this pump this evening at a major retailer upon being attracted to the mid-range price, and what looked like ease of use and convenience. Both of my tires started out feeling somewhat soft, but did not register any substantial PSI on my tire gauge. I began with the front tire and got it up to 25 PSI. A few pumps later, all of the sudden, I could hear air leaking out. I unattached and reattached the pump over a dozen times with similar results. After a while, I was completely unable to pump ANY air into the tire as it appeared to be leaking out faster than I could pump it in. I even thought that perhaps I was using the wrong valve converter (Presta vs. Schrader) so switched the converter around as well. I assumed I must have a bad tire, so I switched to pumping the back tire instead... Ultimately, now BOTH of my tires are currently COMPLETELY flat, and to pour salt in the wound, "Bike to Work Day" is tomorrow... I dropped my vehicle off in another city this evening, and bussed back home... In order to have access to my vehicle after I biked to work in the morning, then headed off to another destination that can't be reached by bike or bus after work... Hey, on the plus side, it looks like this useless accessory would look really cool when mounted to your frame... | | Schwinn Air Driver 700 4 in 1 Mini Pump by Pacific Cycle, Inc (Accessories) Disappointed | | I tried figuring out how to use this with the included instructions, and either it is broken, or it just doesn't work with bike tires. I had it connected and as I pumped air a part started coming out- making almost impossible to get air into the tires. |
